On its first day, Captain Miller collected a gross of 9.50 Crore in Tamil Nadu and 4.95 Crore in overseas markets, amounting to a worldwide gross of 16.20 Crore. The film continued its strong performance into the second day, earning 6.75 Crore and taking its total to 15.45 Crore in just two days.
The third day saw the film’s box office collection ranging from 9 to 12 Crore gross worldwide, with an estimated 7 to 9 Crore from Tamil Nadu and 0.50 to 1 Crore from Hindi-speaking regions. This brought the total collection to approximately 25.20 Crore gross worldwide.
By the fourth day, Captain Miller was expected to earn around 2 Crore, maintaining a steady pace in box office revenue, driven by good reviews and the ongoing Pongal festivities.
Budget and Production
Produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films, Captain Miller was made on an estimated budget of around 40 to 50 Crore. The movie, set in the pre-independence era, follows the character Analeesan “Eesa,” a former British soldier turned protector of the people from the British regime after witnessing an atrocity.
